Lady J. Fishing Charters

A day at sea is a great time and an adventure, you never know what you might see or catch.  Below are some helpful hints, tips and information to make sure you have the best trip possible.

Flotation devices: The Lady J. is equiped with a six man life raft and plenty of adult flotation devices, smaller passengers who may not fit into adult life vests should bring appropriate flotation with them on their trip. We will make a sincere effort to aquire such devices if necessary with prior notice.

Food: Make sure to bring plenty of food with you on your trip, meals and lots of snacks. If anyone is likely to feel ill gingersnaps are a plus.  The Lady J. does not provide food or drink.  Oh and NO BANANAS they aren't good luck, it may be superstition but we believe, you want to catch fish right?

Beverages: It is best to make sure you have plenty of fluids to keep you hydrated on your trip.  Sports drinks, water and soda are all fine, gingerale is helpful for the stomach as well.

Clothing:  Make sure that you are prepared for rain and shine.  Layers  work best, long sleeves over short etc.  It is fishing and you may get wet, a windbreaker or water resistant nylon jacket help keep you dry.  In event of an all out rainstorm you can find warm dry shelter in the cabin.  A towel, and change of clothes are recommended. 

Gear: The sun at sea is strong and reflects off the water, sunblock, sunglasses and a hat protect you from burning and making sure the fish are easier to spot; if you have polarized glasses even better.  Non slip flat shoes are best, the deck is rubber mat, but may get slick under certain conditions.

Little Passengers: A day of fishing is fun but may tire out the younger set, there are cushions in the cabin for those needing a rest.  Bringing activities that kids enjoy can be helpful and make the trip easier and more enjoyable for all.  

Cameras and video devices: Are always welcome on board, catching memories of your trip can serve as a great reminder of all the fun you had and proof of the giant you caught! Just be extra careful not to get them wet or let them go overboard as we can not be responsible for them.
